People are blindly trusting their GPS, and sometimes getting into trouble. In Augst 2009, an 11 year old boy died after his mom followed their GPS navigator into Death Valley and they got stranded on a deserted road.

I can relate! Luckily no death was involved, but on a church mission trip to a sizable city this week I mistakely chose a house number on 6th Ave S instead of N 6th St on my GPS. The cost of the mistake was only 45 minutes less work time and just a little gas for my Prius.
