Christian metal singer Tim Lambesis charged with attempting to hire hit man to kill his wife
The lead singer of the metal band As I Lay Dying has been arrested and charged with seeking to have his wife killed, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said.
Authorities said Tuesday that Tim Lambesis tried to contract an undercover detective posing as a killer for hire to murder his estranged wife, who lives in Encinitas, California.
Arraignment was set for Thursday afternoon at North Division Court in Vista.
The department said it learned on May 2 that Lambesis, 32, had asked someone to carry out the killing and an investigation was initiated.
The investigation culminated Tuesday afternoon, “when Lambesis solicited an undercover detective to kill his wife,” it said. He was arrested without incident at a business in Oceanside and taken to the Encinitas Station and booked into the Vista Detention Facility.
Last September, Meggan Lambesis filed with San Diego Superior Court to have the marriage dissolved.

Brazilian woman laced vagina with poison to kill husband
A Brazilian woman has confessed to trying to kill her husband by putting poison in her vagina and urging him to have oral sex with her, a news agency claims.
The bizarre murder plot, dubbed “cunning cunnilingus” by one commentator, took place in the city of Sao de Jose Rio Preto.
The intended victim, a 43-year-old man who has not been named, says his wife tried to lure him into bed and encouraged him to perform oral sex on her. His suspicions were aroused when he noticed an unusual odour emanating from her private parts and, fearing she was unwell, took her to hospital, Brazil’s Tvi24 reports. Medical tests revealed she had doused her vagina with enough of the unspecified toxin to kill both her husband and herself.
Confronted with the test results the woman reportedly confessed to her crime. It is believed she hatched the bizarre plot after asking her husband for a divorce, a request he now seems rather more likely to acquiesce to. Tvi24 says the woman has received medical treatment and sources claim her husband plans to sue her for attempted murder.
Vagina homicide is, needless to say, a highly unusual crime and a local police officer called Walter Coacino Junior has reportedly ordered “further investigation” due to the “nature” of the case. The woman may still face murder charges, he said.
The Jezebel website points out that “poisoning someone through your vagina is not that good of an idea” because “your vagina is fairly absorbent and shoving a bunch of poison in it will probably hurt you as much as it hurts the person you’re trying to kill.”
But Salon’s Katie McDonough says the fact the man rushed his wife to hospital despite her death-by-vagina plotting suggests “chivalry is not dead”.

German woman charged with attempted murder for trying to smother boyfriend with her breasts
A busty woman is accused of trying to kill her boyfriend by suffocating him with her double-D breasts.
Franziska Hansen, 33, is reportedly charged with “attempted murder with a weapon” after her lawyer boyfriend claimed she tried to smother him while pretending it was a sex game.
Nine-stone Franziska, from Germany, denies the allegations, saying it was a sex game and he knew what it was about, according to the Daily Mail.
But boyfriend Tim Schmidt claims she admitted trying to kill him on the phone, saying she smothered him because she “wanted to make your death as pleasurable as possible”.
He told a court in Germany that the couple had been having sex in May this year when Ms Hansen suddenly grabbed his head and pushed it between her breasts with all her force.
He is quoted as saying: “I couldn’t breathe any more, I must have turned blue. I couldn’t tear myself free and I thought I was going to die.”
Mr Schmidt, who weighs 13 stone, claims he managed to wriggle free and fled naked to a neighbour, who raised the alarm.
He told the court that the couple’s four-year relationship had been strained after they moved to the town of Unna, where his career as a lawyer took off and she struggled to hold a job.
Mr Schmidt said his girlfriend tried to kill him after she discovered he was planning to leave her.
He reportedly told the court: “It is clear she wanted to kill me. She even admitted it to me on the telephone.
“I asked her why she wanted to smother me to death with her breasts and she told me: ‘Treasure – I wanted your death to be as pleasurable as possible.’”
